Introduction

  1. This privacy policy outlines how all “Personal Information” collected by Bostock New Zealand Limited and its related companies, including in connection with the use of the bostock.nz, bostockwines.nz, and bostocksorganic.co.nz websites (Bostock, we, our, us) is collected, disclosed, used, stored and otherwise handled.

  2. “Personal Information” has the meaning set out in the Privacy Act 2020 (Act) being information about an identifiable individual (a natural person) such as your name, address and telephone number.

  3. Bostock complies with the Act when dealing with Personal Information and is committed to protecting and safeguarding your privacy when you deal with us.

  1. Some information provided to us by our customers may be considered personal information. However, without these details we would not be able to provide our services to you. We will only collect personal information if it is necessary for one of our functions or activities or as otherwise set out in this privacy policy.

    1. When you provide personal information to us, including via the website and any related services, through any contact with us (e.g. telephone call or email), or when you buy or use our services or products; and

    2. From third parties where you have authorised this or the information is publicly available.

Use of information collected and disclosure of personal information to others

  1. We (or our agents) may use your personal information in the following circumstances:

    1. In relation to the provision of our services and products to you;

    2. To verify your identity;

    3. To market our services and products to you, including contacting you electronically (by text or email);

  6. You may opt-out of receiving further marketing communication from us at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions in the promotional message itself or via telephone.

  1. Our website or other communications to you may contain links to other websites. These websites have their own privacy policies in relation to your Personal Information and we have no responsibility for linked websites, or their communication with you, and provide them solely for your information and convenience. We encourage you to be aware when you leave our website and to read the privacy statement of each and every website that you visit.

Security and storage

  1. We will take reasonable steps to keep your personal information safe from loss, unauthorised activity, or other misuse and we have security measures in place to address this.

  2. We will also only keep your Personal Information for as long as necessary to achieve the purpose for which it was collected. If your Personal Information is no longer required by us, we will either destroy the information or de-identify it so you can no longer be identified.

Access to and correction of personal information

  1. We aim to ensure that we hold accurate information about our customers and people who access our website.

  1. From time to time we may review this privacy policy and make any necessary changes. Any updated policy will be published on our website. The changes will apply from the date we upload the revised policy.

Information about other persons

  1. If you provide us with Personal Information about any other person, for example, a co-applicant, shareholder or director, you confirm that, prior to disclosing information about them to us, you have received their consent to do so and you have told them:

    2. of our contact details set out in this privacy policy;

    3. the reason you are providing their information;

    4. the fact that we collect, use and disclose Personal Information as set out in this privacy policy.
