The company is vertically integrated, 100% owned by John Bostock. We are based in Hawke’s Bay, one of the cleanest and purest growing environments in the world.

Bostock New Zealand has been growing healthy, premium produce for export to the world for more than 30 years, growing and marketing high-quality squash, onions, grain, grapes and organic apples. The company also exports conventional apples on behalf of independent orchardists.

Bostock New Zealand produces wine from its Hawke’s Bay Vineyards. Bostock Wines of New Zealand varieties include Merlot, Syrah, Chardonnay, Rosé and Pinot Gris.

Australasia’s largest organic apple grower

John Bostock has been growing organic apples since 1996 and is the pioneer of commercial organic apple production in New Zealand. We are New Zealand’s largest organic apple grower, exporting about 85% of the national crop.

Bostock New Zealand’s fully certified organic apples do not use any post-harvest chemicals including Apeel,1-MCP or any other storage enhancing coatings in the production and processing of our organic apples.

Together with two other New Zealand partners, Bostock New Zealand has set up a dedicated company for the research and development of new, exclusive varieties

The most recent development is our new Dazzle™ apple. Dazzle™ apples are well suited to the US market and have all the qualities which appeal to US consumers. They are large, sweet apples which have a long shelf life. Dazzle™ apples have taken 20 years to develop, and its launch has been the biggest in New Zealand since Royal Gala decades ago.
